Light can be your best friend
one minute
and your worst enemy
the next.
Light is the most dependable source of energy
for firing up our cities
but it is not the most dependable for making us all
look pretty.
Light can throw off your meter
glare in your viewfinder
and get grainy with a high ISO
but every so often light cooperates with us
and shares the same vision.
Sometimes it doesn't want anything to do with us.
Sometimes it casts limelight on people
and moments we don't think deserve it.
Light gives us perspective -
whether we freeze,
slow motion,
or time lapse it.
We can continue to try to build cameras
to be more perceptive than our eyes
but evolution will always be more reactive
to the market
than NIKON, SONY, or CANON.
So just have faith in light
and keep your photography
like your perspective
lit.
